Paris Hijab Tutorial In 4 Ways!

I just got this very easy and comfortable to wear hijab from @tokoviana and I thought why not show you guys how I would I wanna wear it, right?! So here is the video, I hope you all enjoy watching it and try it. And don’t forget to check out @tokoviana on instagram to see more varieties of their beautiful hijab!!

Loads of love,

So let me introduce you to whom I call best friend ……… Nadirra a.k.a YAYA!

We were wearing bright colours on this year’s Eid Hajj or we call it Hari Raya Haji in Malay or Lebaran Haji in Indo, cz we thought white is too mainstream and it is okay to wear bright colours!

Basically what I was wearing was a cape blouse that I got for ONLY RM20 (Well, I actually think its like a mini dress because to those who don’t wear hijab they can wear it without a legging or pants) with a long sleeves shirts and a legging I got from H&M. I went all black for the shirt, legging and hijab because I didn’t wanna have too many colours (let’s keep it simple yet sophisticated) and the cape became the centre of the look. I wore a necklace also so the look doesn’t look too plain. With a pair of flats and a little bag you’re good to go for a day out or you can wear a pair of heels for a dinner or a night out!

What Yaya was wearing was a dress we called Kaftan. It has become very popular for the past few years in Indonesia, you can find different types and colours of kaftan starting from rm100 to more than rm1000 depends from where you buy it. Some of it are designed by the local designer but some are imported from the arab countries which would be more expensive. It’s one of the MUST HAVE ITEM to me because you can wear it to a lot of different occasions and look prettyyy.

Get Ready With Me!

Salam everyone!!

So I was going out few days ago and as I was about to get ready I thought it would be fun to record it and share it with you guys. Well, I don’t do this every time of course because I’d be late to class everyday if this is how I get ready every morning (;p) but when I have time I like to play a little bit with make up. Here is the video, ENJOOOY! 😀

I use different types of products, but the products that I used in this video are the ones I use the most. And here are the details:

  1. Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer
For me applying primer before you go on with your make up is very important, because you need a good base for your foundation. There are different types of primer, it works to cover up your pores, even up your skin tone, hydrates your skin and so on. So since I have a pretty dry skin so I chose the hydrating one to prevent fine lines and break outs. And this primer would help you achieve that flawless finish!
  2. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation & MAC Mineralize Foundation
I really love these foundations! Both work really well on its own but I like to mix them because it gives me the perfect colour  for my skin tone. The Chanel one gives a light coverage, its perfect if you want to get the ‘no make up makeup’ because it gives you that flawless look without looking so heavy. And God! it smells so good. I think all of Chanel’s products have that very good smell, I just love it.
Moving on to the MAC Mineralize Foundation, this is one of the first foundation I used. This foundation is perfect for dry skin type because it hydrates your skin as well. It gives you light to medium coverage but you can build it up if you want more coverage.
  3. MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette
This is a good palette to cover the dark areas under you eye and they have 2 darker shades on the palette you can use for contouring, it’s a combo! I prefer to use the cream concealer because I have eye-bags and I feel like the cream one covers them better. If you don’t wanna buy the whole palette you can buy them seperately and now MAC has come up with a palette of 2 shades also.
  4. Ben Nye Banana Powder
I have heard about this product so much, and I finally got them last week and I am so excited to try it out! This is a good product to set your concealer and highlight your face as well. But if you have a lighter skin tone you would wanna buy another shade because the banana one is so yellowish. You can get the translucent one, I think Ben Nye has it also. I would say that this is a pretty affordable loose powder, before buying it I compare to the other brands like Laura Mercier, Chanel and some other brands and I found it as the cheapest one. Its kinda hard to find here in Asia because they don’t have any store here but you can look for them online.
  5. Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Powder
If you’re looking for a light powder that would give you a healthy skin look, this is the one! I use this as my daily make up because it just give you that natural yet glowy look. And as I mentioned about Chanel above, this product also smells very good.
  6. Sephora Bronzing Powder
For a simple day makeup I prefer to use powder bronzer than a cream or liquid one, I think the powder looks lighter and the other 2, because I just want to kinda warm my face but I don’t want it to be so dramatic. But for a night out makeup or special occasion you can use this powder to set your cream or liquid bronzer when you do contouring.
  7. MAC Matte Blush & Victoria Secret Blush
I use 2 blushes because the MAC one is a peachy colour (which I love) to apply it really close to where I apply my bronzer so it gives me that kind of gradation and the VS one is more like a bright pink colour which is perfect to apply on the apple of your cheek.
  8. Costal Scents Revealed 2 Palette
This palette has very nice colours, some people said that its a dupe of the famous Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay. One of the colours is a light champagne colour which I use as a highlighter. That colour is similar to the Marie-Lou Manizer highlighter by the balm. I applied the highlighter basically to where the light would hit me so I get that glowy look. And I used the dark brown colour from the palette as an eyeshadow.
  9. Bobbi Brown Brow Pencil
MY FAVOURITE BROW PRODUCT EVERRRR!. As I mentioned in the video, I love this product and I have been using this for over a year now. Its very easy to apply and and it looks natural but if you want to be more dramatic this product can do it as well. It also comes with a sharpener when you buy it.
  10. MAC Gel Liner
I love using a gel type of liner because I think it is easy to apply, you can build it thick with the wing if you want but it can go very thin also if you want to which I find hard to do with a liquid liner. It can look very natural also.
  11. Tarte Mascara Primer & Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara
My lashes is not very long and thick so I was looking for a way to make it look longer and thicker without false lashes and I found this product! It really works, you just have to apply it before applying your mascara and your lashes would get more volume.
I got the mascara sample from Chanel when I was buying some stuffs there and I actually love it, its a bit pricy but if you’re willing to invest on a mascara you should definitely go with this one but a drug store mascara like maybelline would do as fine.
  12. Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick & NYX Matte Lip Cream
I would say this Chanel lipstick is a light coverage lipstick, a very good choice for daily lipstick with a very natural colour as well, the finish look is kinda glossy that’s why I topped it with the NYX lip cream, both really work good together.

  13. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spay
Last but not least, to finish up the make up I sprayed this setting spray to make my make up stay in place. Well, this is optional, you can skip this step if you want to.

I hope you guys enjoy the videos and if you have any questions feel free to comment down below.

My Everyday Hijab Look Tutorial

Salam everyone!! So I have been getting some requests from my instagram followers to do a tutorial on the hijab look that I do in almost all the pictures I have on my instagram and so I finally decided to do one! It is not a very high resolution video since I am very new to this world of blogging so I'm still learning (:p) but hopefully it will get better soon inshallah. I will also be sharing things on fashion, food, lifestyle on this blog so stay tuned and I hope you will enjoy it.

How can you live the high life if you do not wear the high heels?

A little bad taste is like a nice splash of paprika. We all need a splash of bad taste—it’s hearty, it’s healthy, it’s physical. I think we could use more of it. No taste is what I’m against.
